The Mind-Body Connection with Tim Damon Holistic Services

In our Western world, there are different ways we can approach our health and wellness. One of these ways which I am most familiar with is the holistic approach. Holistic means that we are looking at our health and wellness through the lens of mind, body, emotions and spirit. In a world where we are heavily conditioned to work solely with the body in treating issues, the holistic model takes this further and asks that we probe to the root of what’s actually going on and take the appropriate steps to make our way back to balance (homeostasis). Whether we are cognizant of it or not, the body is constantly working to find that balance point, however, due to many of our lifestyles and patterns of behaviour, it can often be challenging to get to balance as there are many things we come up against. Stress being one of them. Diet another - to name a couple. 


Experience of Dis-ease


Dis-ease is the manifestation of illness in the body. When there are disruptions or weaknesses within the energetic body of the person, this creates leaks in the aura or human energy field. These disruptions, if not resolved begin to take form within the physical body and can manifest in a variety of ways. Disruptions in the field could be any number of things but a big one for many westerners is stress. Due to how we are socially conditioned to operate in our 9-5 busy schedules, the body is not allowed to have time to rest and heal. Our busy lives become the established “norm” and before we know it, operating in fight and flight is the only way we know to function through the week. But at what cost, really? 


Health is Wealth


The fact of the matter is, we have one body, one life. If you are not looking after your health, it doesn’t matter how much money you have because at the end of the day, the quality of our day to day lives is impacted by a number of things. It could be the very fact you have the energy and ambition to get out of bed in the morning or the ability to cook yourself a meal. We need our health to live our lives, to have fun and do interesting things. The body is our vehicle to our true potential. It is our foundation, our starting point. Put it this way, you wouldn’t want to be driving a car that was long overdue for a tune up or had bad wheels. The same is true for your health.
